Man, you won’t believe the day I had yesterday. So, I’ve been seeing these knitting machines all over the internet, and I got it into my head that I wanted to try one out. Not just any knitting machine, though – I wanted to see if I could snag one from Hobby Lobby. Everyone’s always talking about their sales and stuff, so I figured, why not?
First things first, I checked their website, I browsed the Hobby Lobby website and tried to search for some yarn and knitting supplies. It seems they always have some kind of deal going on. I also signed up for their email newsletter because I know that companies have a habit of sending out discount codes to the customers.
After that, I drove to the store. It was a bit of a madhouse, to be honest. I guess everyone else had the same idea. I asked a staff and wandered around for a good while before I found the yarn aisle. It was packed, but I didn’t see any knitting machines right away.
- I found latch hook kits. They said these were great for both beginners and experts.
- I also saw kids’ needle art kits, which I thought was a cute way to get kids into crafting.
After asking around, I found out that they didn’t have the machine in stock right then. The guy said they were making more space for seasonal stuff. Seasonal decor, really? It’s not even fall yet! Anyway, he suggested I check out other craft stores like Joanne’s or Michaels, but I was set on Hobby Lobby.
So, I decided to wait it out. I browsed through some other sections, you know, just killing time. They’ve got tons of stuff for parties and home decor, which is cool, I guess.
After what felt like forever, I went back to the yarn aisle. Still no knitting machine. At this point, I was getting a little frustrated. I spotted a manager and asked her about it. She told me that the knitting machines are a hot item and they sell out as soon as they come in.
She suggested I could order one online, but where’s the fun in that? Part of the excitement is actually finding it in the store, you know?
So, I left the store empty-handed, but not giving up hope. I figured I’d try a different Hobby Lobby location later in the week, I also know that Brother and Silver Reed are the popular brands for knitting machines. I used Silver Reed for a long time and I am familiar with it.
Oh, I also remembered some websites like *, *, and *. Some folks mentioned them for bargains, but the shipping costs can be a bit steep. I might check them out if this Hobby Lobby mission doesn’t pan out.
Anyway, that’s the saga of my Hobby Lobby adventure. No knitting machine yet, but I’m not giving up. I’ll keep you all posted on the progress! It’s kind of like a treasure hunt at this point, right?
