Okay, here is my sharing about the Addi Express knitting machine projects:
So, I finally got my hands on one of those Addi Express knitting machines. I’d seen a bunch of people online making all sorts of cool stuff with them, and I was like, “I gotta try this!”
First off, I gotta say, these things are pretty neat. You just clamp it onto a table, thread the yarn, and start cranking. It’s way faster than knitting by hand, that’s for sure. I started with something simple, just a basic tube. I followed the instructions that came with the machine, and honestly, it was easier than I expected. The yarn just kinda glides through, and before you know it, you’ve got a decent-sized tube going.
Once I got the hang of the basic tube, I thought, “Why not try a hat?” I found a pattern online for a simple beanie, I just started cranking away, and guess what, It comes out great. I made a Bon-Fire Beanie, it’s very warm and I like it a lot.
- First, I made a flat circle. It is very easy to make.
- Then I used some felt scraps I had lying around.
- I cut out the shapes I needed, just some basic bird shapes.
- Finally, I sewed the felt onto the hat.
I made a Bird Applique, you know what, it turns out very cute. My daughter loves it very much and she wears it to go to school.
My Thoughts
If you’re thinking about trying one of these machines, I say go for it! It’s a fun and easy way to get into knitting. And hey, if you end up not liking it, you can always sell it or donate it, right? But honestly, I think you’ll be hooked once you start seeing all the things you can create. These are very quick and easy to make.
From what I’ve seen and done so far, these Addi machines are pretty awesome. They’re definitely a good investment if you’re into knitting or want to get into it without spending hours and hours on each project. I’m already thinking about what I’m going to make next. Maybe a scarf? Or some socks? The possibilities are endless!
