Well, I tell ya, if you ain’t heard about that addi knitter, you’re missin’ out on somethin’ real good. My sister, bless her heart, she got one of them machines, and it’s made her life a whole lot easier, I can tell ya that much. It ain’t like them old ways, where you gotta sit for hours twistin’ and turnin’ them needles till your fingers feel like they gonna fall off. With this addi knitter, all you gotta do is turn the crank, and boom, you’re makin’ yourself a nice scarf or a pretty poncho in no time.
Now, if you’re thinkin’ about tryin’ one, lemme tell ya, there’s all kinds of ’em. The original addi Express, for instance, comes with 22 needles, which is plenty to get you started. You can knit in a circle or flat, dependin’ on what you need. I know my neighbor, Mabel, she used hers to whip up a whole bunch of scarves for the grandkids. Said it only took her a couple of hours, can you believe that?
Then there’s the addi Express Kingsize, which is even bigger. This one’s got 46 needles, so you can make bigger stuff, like them blankets or even a big ol’ poncho to wear in the cold. I seen one of those at the local craft store and thought, “Well, ain’t that somethin’.” You can attach it right to the table, real easy-like, and just start crankin’. Don’t take much to set it up at all. And, honey, it’s way faster than knitting by hand. Even I could keep up with it, and I ain’t exactly the fastest when it comes to knittin’ with them old-fashioned needles.
They also got a new and improved version of the addi Express Professional Knitting Machine now. This one’s got a better row counter, and even a pattern book to help you get started. If you ain’t too sure how to make fancy designs, well, that book can give you a hand. Plus, the express hook that comes with it makes everything even easier. You don’t gotta be a professional to use it, that’s for sure. If I can do it, anybody can.
What’s real nice about these addi knitting machines is that they make knitting fun again. It’s like you can knit up a storm without feelin’ like you’re workin’ your hands to the bone. You turn that crank, and it just keeps goin’ and goin’. It’s like magic, I tell ya. And you don’t have to worry about makin’ mistakes or droppin’ stitches like you do when you’re doin’ it by hand.
For me, I like to keep it simple. A scarf or two, maybe a little hat for the winter. But if you got the time and the patience, you can make all sorts of things with these addi machines. I seen a woman at the church bazaar who made herself a whole poncho using the Kingsize model, and it looked real nice. It was big enough to wrap up in, too! I was mighty impressed.
So, if you’re still sittin’ on the fence about whether or not to get one of these addi knitters, I say go for it. If you love makin’ things with your hands but don’t wanna spend all day at it, this here’s the machine for you. It’s fast, it’s fun, and it makes knitting a whole lot easier, even for folks like me who don’t know much about all them fancy techniques.
In the end, you’ll have more time to do the things you enjoy instead of gettin’ all tied up in knots with your yarn. And I tell ya, you’ll feel real proud when you see what you made with your own two hands. Ain’t nothin’ better than that.
