Hey folks, it’s your boy back again with another fun little project. Today, I wanna talk about something that’s been on my crafting table lately – the addi 48 needle knitting machine. Yep, you heard that right, we’re diving into the world of machine knitting!
So, first things first, I got my hands on this addi 48 needle machine. It’s a pretty neat circular knitting machine. When I first opened the box, I gotta say, I was a little intimidated. But, you know me, I love a good challenge. I rolled up my sleeves and got to work.
The first thing I did was to choose my yarn. For this, I picked out a nice, chunky yarn in a lovely shade of blue. I figured a chunky yarn would be easier to work with for my first project on the machine. After setting up the machine – which, by the way, wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be – I started casting on.
Cranking away, I watched as the machine started knitting row after row. It was kinda mesmerizing, to be honest. Watching the needles work their magic, turning a simple strand of yarn into a knitted tube. It was way faster than hand knitting, that’s for sure!
My first project was a simple tube. I let the machine do its thing until I had a decent length. Then, I carefully cast off, which was a bit fiddly, but I got there in the end. I gotta admit, I was pretty proud of my first attempt. It wasn’t perfect, but hey, it was a start!
Moving on to something more exciting
- Hats: I used the machine to crank out the main body of the hat, then finished the top by hand.
- Scarves: These were super easy – just crank out a long tube, cast off, and you’re done!
- Toys: I make a toy for my children, He is very happy and likes it very much.
- Headband: When my daughter saw it, she liked it very much and asked me to make one for her, so I did.
Honestly, this addi 48 needle knitting machine has opened up a whole new world of crafting for me. It’s fun, it’s fast, and the results are pretty darn good. If you’re thinking about trying out machine knitting, I’d say go for it. It’s a blast!
Alright, that’s it from me for today. Keep crafting, keep creating, and as always, happy making!
